I'm honored to have been a part of the Celtics organization, but in that series, to have been on the floor and now share those memories -- not only with teammates but with our opponents -- about a great game is really an honor.

About Us:
Our mission is to raise resources to find a cure for brain cancer.
|
History:The Jo Jo White Foundation was formed in September 2012, and is
the first step towards Jo Jo’s life mission of helping others. His belief that knowledge is not yours to keep fuels the importance of discovering new treatments. Through the founding of his foundation, Jo Jo’s greatest hope is that one day no one will have to battle against brain cancer. We take part in four major events during the year: 24-Hour Run, Concert in the Park, Golf Outing and a 3 on 3 Tournament. Each of the events looks to raise money for research at Massachusetts General Hospital. Please explore our newly created website for more information on each of these events. |
Core Values:

This passion needs to be in each and every employee and passed on to those attending and involved in our events. It is with and because of this passion we will find a cure to brain cancer.

Our Team:
Jo Jo White
Executive Director
JoJo White, was a standout player for the Boston Celtics during his NBA career. In his current role with the Celtics, White has a wide range of responsibilities within the Marketing, Community Relations and Basketball Operations departments.
White, who the Celtics selected with their first pick in the 1969 draft out of Kansas University, spent the first 10 years of his 12-year playing career with Boston. He finished his career with the Celtics averaging 18.3 points per game, leading the team in scoring once and in assists four times. White is still remembered as one of the most durable Celtics, as his streak of 488 consecutive games played remains a franchise record. A seven-time All Star, White's number 10 jersey was retired by the Celtics in a ceremony at the Boston Garden on April 9, 1982.
"I have stayed in touch with the Celtics over the years and now I am looking forward to working with them in the front office," said White. "It is one of my goals to help bring the Celtics back to the championship level I experienced here during my playing days." In May 2010, JoJo White’s doctors discovered he had a brain tumor. Following the successful removal of his tumor, White became inspired to help others affected by similar illnesses. These aspirations culminated with the formation of the Jo Jo White Foundation in September 2012.
Jo Jo White is the main inspiration for this organizaion. He is a strong athlete, but an even strong fighter when he fought for his life when diagnosed with a brain tumor. This organizaiton is something very close to his heart, and he is very passionate about "Making it Count."
